Holywings Wellness Club is getting ready to open in Berawa, and we got an early look at the new facility during one of its soft-opening sessions. For the event, Holywings invited members of Bali’s fitness communities to come in and try out one of its HYROX classes. It was a chance to experience the training space while the club is still being prepared for its official opening. The HYROX setup is one of the first things that stands out. The facility has the main equipment needed for HYROX training, including rowing machines, SkiErgs, sled push and pull stations, and Wall Ball stations. There are also AirBikes for conditioning work.
Another feature we liked was the indoor running track. At around 250 metres long, it gives members a dedicated space to run as part of their training without having to head onto the streets. For the Canggu and Berawa area, that is a useful addition. Running on the roads around here can be difficult, particularly as traffic continues to increase. Having an indoor track means runners and HYROX athletes can get their running work done in a more controlled environment.
Located next to Atlas Beach Club, another property under the Holywings Group, the recovery area has more of a beach-club feel than a typical gym recovery space. The planned recovery facilities include cold plunges, ice baths, sauna, spa treatments and an oceanfront Aufguss sauna. The club is essentially combining training with recovery and a more social environment, rather than treating recovery as an afterthought.
The club is still very much in its soft-opening stage, so there is more work being done before the full experience is ready. The idea, however, goes beyond just HYROX. Holywings Wellness Club is set to offer functional training, a hot studio, running facilities and a dedicated recovery area. The recovery side is perhaps what gives the club its own character.
