Bali’s running scene has grown rapidly in recent years. What was once a niche activity has evolved into a vibrant community of local runners, long-term residents, and travellers who regularly come together for training, races, and social events. Located in Pererenan, Runamuk has become one of the spaces supporting that growth. More than a café or retail store, the venue combines training, recovery, community, and workspace into a single destination designed for runners and active lifestyles.
Built Around Running
Unlike a traditional gym, Runamuk is focused specifically on running and endurance training. The training space features ten treadmills, a stair climber, and an indoor bike, giving runners several options for building and maintaining their fitness. The treadmills can be used for everything from easy runs and interval sessions to tempo and hill workouts, while the stair climber provides an alternative for building lower-body strength and cardiovascular fitness. The indoor bike also offers a low-impact option for cross-training or easier sessions between runs. For runners training in Bali, the indoor setup provides a practical alternative when the heat, rain, or other conditions make outdoor running less convenient.

Recovery Beyond The Run
Training is only part of the equation. Runamuk also incorporates dedicated recovery facilities, including ice baths, a sauna, a steam room, changing rooms, lockers, towels, and outdoor shower facilities, allowing members to recover immediately after training. The recovery area is designed to make post-run routines more convenient, with members able to move from their workout directly into recovery without having to leave the venue. The combination of hot and cold facilities also gives runners different options depending on their training and recovery routine. With changing rooms, lockers, towels, and showers available on site, Runamuk provides the practical facilities needed to clean up and reset before continuing with the rest of the day.

A Space To Stay
The café is another part of Runamuk, providing a place for members and visitors to eat, drink, and spend time before or after training. It serves specialty coffee, wholesome meals, and build-your-own menu options, giving runners a convenient place to refuel after a session. During the day, the café also functions as a co-working space, allowing members to stay and work without having to move to another location after training. Next to the café is the 180SPM retail store, which carries running shoes, apparel, accessories, and other running equipment. This gives runners the option to browse or purchase gear while they are already at the venue, whether they are looking for new shoes, training apparel, or equipment for an upcoming race

More Than A Training Facility
What distinguishes Runamuk is the sense of community that extends beyond its facilities. The venue regularly hosts community runs, with scheduled sessions on selected Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Distances typically range from 3 kilometres to 21 kilometres, creating opportunities for runners of different abilities to train together while exploring Canggu. As Bali’s running community continues to expand, spaces like Runamuk demonstrate how the island’s fitness landscape is evolving beyond traditional gyms. By combining training facilities, recovery amenities, specialty retail, a café, co-working space, and community programming under one roof, Runamuk offers an environment that reflects the lifestyle of today’s runners.
